Located in the heart of Hartford, The Webster is Connecticut’s premier live music and entertainment venue. This 20,000 sq. ft. multipurpose space features two separate rooms and stages with a combined capacity of up to 1,200 guests, offering both high-energy concerts and more intimate live experiences.
The Webster hosts a wide range of events including live concerts, DJ nights, private events, corporate gatherings, fundraisers, award ceremonies, weddings, and receptions. Though one of the oldest buildings in the Hartford area, the venue has been thoughtfully renovated to deliver a modern experience while preserving its historic character.
Main Room
The Main Room is The Webster’s primary performance space, designed for high-energy live shows and large-scale events. With a capacity of up to 1,200 guests, it features a spacious general admission floor, elevated viewing areas, and a full production setup for national and international touring artists. This room delivers an immersive concert experience from every angle.
The Underground
The Underground is The Webster’s more intimate second stage, perfect for discovering new and emerging talent. With a capacity of up to 350 guests, it offers a close-up live music experience in a smaller, high-energy setting. The Underground has its own dedicated entrance located on the Webster Street side of the building, making it a distinct and self-contained space while still connected to the venue.
HISTORY:
The Webster Theater was built more than 70 years ago as a motion picture theater. In 1992, the theater had been restored to its former art deco style with the addition of five bars.
